Prime Powerteam Welcomes Canadian Champion Ryan Maxwell to the 2026 Lineup
Prime Powerteam is proud to officially announce that Ryan Maxwell will be joining the team for the 2026 season.
Ryan enters the Prime Powerteam lineup following a very impressive 2025 season. He captured both the Canadian National Karting Championship and the RMC Ontario Championship in the highly competitive Rotax Senior category, firmly establishing himself as one of the top drivers in the country and a consistent front-runner at every major event.
Team Principal Trevor Wickens shared his excitement about the partnership:
“It’s great to have Ryan back racing with us. Ryan has developed into a champion driver that will elevate our Rotax program. We can’t wait to get on track in January.”
Ryan is equally enthusiastic about returning to Prime Powerteam and the opportunities ahead:

In addition to his domestic championship success, Ryan arrives at Prime Powerteam fresh off a very strong performance at the RMC Grand Finals, where he consistently ran near the front of the field and remained inside the top ten against the very best drivers from around the world. With pace to fight for the podium all week, Ryan’s final results did not reflect his true performance after contact in both the pre-final and final limited his finishing position — but his speed and racecraft were on full display throughout the event.
Ryan’s addition marks another major step forward for Prime Powerteam as the organization continues to strengthen an already powerful driver lineup heading into what is shaping up to be an exceptional 2026 season. His experience, professionalism, and championship pedigree will make him a key contributor to the team’s ongoing growth and success in the Rotax program and beyond.
