Over the past few years, Jackson Corbett has grown into a standout member of the Prime Powerteam Briggs Junior program, and 2025 is shaping up to be his true breakout season.
Jackson’s journey began like many others—with the Arrive and Drive program at Canadian Mini Indy. It didn’t take long for his raw talent and, more importantly, his passion for the sport to shine through. Craving more competition, he joined the Hamilton Regional Kart Club (HRKC) in 2023 in the Junior Lite division, where he quickly became a podium regular.
A defining moment came in July 2023 when the Ron Fellows Karting Championship rolled into Hamilton. With no Junior Lite class on the schedule, Jackson could have easily taken the weekend off—but instead, he bolted on extra lead, swapped in a gold slide, and stepped up to race in the far more competitive Briggs Junior category. Not only did he hold his own, but he made the bold decision to stay in the Junior division for the rest of the season. It was a turning point that showed his true character—always choosing challenge and growth over comfort and easy wins.
Behind Jackson is a rock-solid support team, including his enthusiastic mom/#1 fan and his dad/mechanic whose meticulous attention to the kart’s setup borders on obsession—in the best way possible. That commitment paid off when Jackson stood on the podium with a 3rd place finish at the 2023 Motomaster Canadian Karting Championship, the biggest race of the year.
Jackson has continued to raise the bar. He’s pursued tougher fields and stiffer competition, including taking on major events like the CKNA Grand Nationals. In 2025 it is all coming together for him, while his speed was evident early in the year, his coming out party came in early June at THE CKN DASH, where he claimed his first National Event victory. That win became the spark—since then, Jackson has been living on the podium.
Recent highlights include:
- 2nd place at Inter-Club Mosport
- 2nd place at KartStars Round 3
- Victory at Inter-Club Round 3, securing runner-up in the overall championship
What makes Jackson’s 2025 campaign so impressive is not just the results—it’s his growth, consistency, and versatility. He’s shown that he’s not just a Hamilton specialist; he’s been fast everywhere, against the best.
August will be his biggest test yet, with a packed schedule featuring the Constructors Cup, KartStars Championship finale in Shannonville, and the ASN Canadian Karting Championship in Mosport.
We’re proud of what Jackson has accomplished so far and even more excited about what’s ahead. Keep pushing, Jackson—you’re just getting started.
