Leo Serravalle had a standout performance at the Ontario Inter Club Challenge Round 3, showcasing his remarkable growth and consistent speed throughout the season. While he’s been quietly making solid improvements, it was his racecraft and teamwork that truly shone on race day.
In qualifying, Leo teamed up with fellow Prime drivers Jackson Morley and Ari Theodoropoulos, and the trio qualified 1-2-3—setting themselves up perfectly for the heats. But it was during the first heat that Leo revealed his true colors and team spirit. When pole sitter and teammate Morley spun out on the formation lap, Leo made an unselfish decision to back up the entire grid, allowing Jackson to reclaim his position before the race started. Not many would have made that sacrifice, but Leo wasn’t about to leave a teammate behind. If there were a team spirit award that day, it would undoubtedly go to him. His teamwork paid off as he and Morley worked together to finish in a clean 1-2.
Heat 2 was a bit more challenging for Leo. Despite driving impressively, a jump start penalty set him back several positions, and he had to settle for 7th. However, Leo remained undeterred and came back strong in the Superheat, finishing P2. With all the points combined, he was set to start the final in P4.
Starting on the outside at Hamilton can be tricky, but Leo played it smart, keeping himself out of trouble. Although he dropped a spot at the start, he was still in the race and focused on maintaining consistency. As the race progressed, Leo steadily chased the leaders and found himself in P3 by lap 10. Just four laps later, as the leaders battled, Leo seized the moment and maneuvered into the lead.
His timing couldn’t have been better. As he surged ahead, chaos erupted behind him with a significant crash in the final corner involving the three drivers trailing him. Leo sailed through unscathed, crossing the finish line for a well-earned victory.
This win is a testament to the hard work and dedication Leo has put in all year. Celebrating with his family and trusted mechanic Miguel, Leo truly earned this moment of triumph. We can’t wait to see what he accomplishes next!
