Let’s Go Link! A Champ In the Making

At Prime Powerteam, we’ve always believed that success in karting isn’t just about talent—it’s about commitment, attitude, and the willingness to embrace the journey. Lincoln Lima and his family embody exactly what we look for in a racer. They’re supportive, respected by everyone under the tent, and most importantly, they bring a positive energy that lifts the entire team. Lincoln may still be young, but his drive, focus, and maturity on and off the track have quickly made him a key part of our program.

Lincoln joined Prime Powerteam midway through last year and wasted no time proving he belonged. Fast, hungry, and always working to improve, he’s become an important part of the future of our team—and of Canadian karting.

For Lincoln, the 2025 season started early—earlier than most. He headed down to Florida this winter to compete in the ROK Winter Tour and the Rotax Winter Trophy in Orlando. The results didn’t tell the whole story, but the experience was invaluable. He battled some of the toughest competition in North America, learned critical lessons, and never stopped pushing forward.

Then came the RMC USA West Championship in Phoenix, where Lincoln showed what he’s truly capable of—finishing on the podium twice and locking in a top-five finish in the overall championship. That was a huge milestone and a clear sign of just how far he’s come.

Back in Canada, Lincoln didn’t rest. While most drivers were waiting for warmer weather, Lincoln was already back at the track—working with his coaches, pounding in laps, and preparing for the long season ahead. The early races didn’t go exactly how he wanted—solid performances, but nothing that turned heads. Still, Lincoln and his family never looked for excuses. They didn’t point fingers at equipment or coaches. They trusted the process, stayed focused, and kept putting in the work.

And the results have followed.

In the RMC Ontario Championship, Lincoln currently sits 3rd. In the RMC Quebec Championship, he’s 5th. He’s shown consistency, speed, and a real understanding that development doesn’t happen in a straight line. There are zigs, zags, ups, and downs—and Lincoln is learning from all of it.

Some lessons have come at a cost—sometimes quite literally, with a few wrecked chassis along the way—but they’ve all contributed to his growth. At last weekend’s Canada Final, Lincoln showed just how far he’s come, competing in both the Micro and Mini categories. Across the weekend, he captured three race wins and earned 2nd overall in both classes—an absolutely incredible performance.

Now, the intensity ramps up with the ASN Nationals next week and the Canadian Open to close out the month. But no matter what happens, one thing is clear: Lincoln Lima’s hard work is paying off. He’s progressing quickly, learning every step of the way, and showing the heart and grit it takes to be great.

We’re proud to have Lincoln and his family as part of the Prime Powerteam and we can’t wait to see what the rest of the season has in store.

Let’s go, Lincoln!
