Offseason Over. Prime Is Back. HRKC Race 1 Recap

HRKC Race 1 at the Hamilton Karting Complex was exactly what the team needed to kick off the season — a full day of competitive racing in a low-pressure environment, right at our home track. After a long offseason, this event gave our drivers the perfect opportunity to shake off the rust, get comfortable back behind the wheel, and start building momentum for what’s shaping up to be a very busy year.

For many, it was their first real race action of the season. Some drivers were dialing themselves back in, others were learning entirely new classes, and a few were simply getting familiar with new teammates. Across the board, it was about getting laps, gaining confidence, and getting back into race mode.

It was also awesome to see the team looking the part — with many drivers debuting new Birel Art and Red Speed karts featuring the brand new Prime livery, and rocking the new team suits.

Briggs Senior – Deep Field, Strong Results

The Briggs Senior class wasted no time setting the tone for the season, with a massive 50-driver field making it one of the most competitive races of the day.

Logan Pacza picked up right where he left off, leading much of the final and battling hard through the closing laps to secure an impressive P2 finish. It was a strong statement to start the year.

The depth of the team showed as well, with multiple Prime drivers finishing inside the top ten — exactly the kind of consistency you want early in the season.

A standout performance came from Jackson Corbett, making the move up from Junior after a strong 2025 campaign. He held his own all day in a stacked field and came away with a solid P8 finish, showing he belongs as a Sr.

Rotax Junior – New Challenges, Big Pace

Rotax Junior saw several drivers stepping up from Mini into full-sized karts, a transition that comes with a significant jump in power and racecraft.

Lincoln Lima, Yousef Adi and Matteo Pai all made that leap and handled it well, gaining valuable experience throughout the day.

Adi finished on the podium in his first race back with the team and was quick all day, qualifying on pole!

Lincoln capped off his debut with a very strong P4 finish — an impressive result in his first outing in the class.

Stefano Lanzillotta, now firmly established in the Junior class, delivered one of the drives of the day. Starting at the back of the final, he charged through the field with excellent pace to finish P2, showing both speed and racecraft.

Mini Max – A Statement Start

Lincoln Lima doubled up on track time in Mini Max and made it count.

He dominated the day, winning both the pre-final and the final to kick off his season in the best way possible. After coming close last year, Lincoln is already positioning himself as a serious contender for the Rotax Mini Max ticket this season.

Rotax Senior – Strong Debuts and a Clean Sweep

Rotax Senior featured a mix of new faces, returning drivers, and standout performances.

Ryan Maxwell, making his Canadian debut with Prime, couldn’t have asked for a better start — pole position, pre-final win, and a dominant final victory to sweep the day.

Ari Theodoropoulos made a seamless transition up from Junior, showing strong pace all day and finishing P2.

Logan Pacza also made his return to two-stroke racing after a few years away and immediately showed competitive speed, finishing P3 in the final.

Another notable debut came from Noah Landry, who also stepped up from Junior into Senior. He put together a strong, composed day while adjusting to the new class — a solid foundation to build on.

Looking Ahead

All in all, it was an excellent day — great weather, great racing, and a perfect way to reconnect as a team and get back into the rhythm of competition.

These early-season races are more important than they might seem. With the national calendar just weeks away, the intensity ramps up quickly and doesn’t let up. Getting these laps now — working through setups, racecraft, and communication — is going to pay dividends as the season unfolds.

Based on what we saw this weekend, Prime Powerteam is in a strong position. The pace is there, the depth is there, and most importantly, the mindset is right.

There’s a lot of work ahead, but with the team, coaching, and culture we’ve built, we’re confident we’ll be right in the mix for race wins and championships all season long.

Stay tuned — this is just the beginning.
